ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS AND RENT
Age: To qualify, a person must be 62 years of age or a person with a disability.
Independent Living: To be eligible, a person must be capable of independent living which means that the person must be able to handle his or her own affairs or obtain outside services to do so and to be able to manage the routine activities of daily living.
Rent: The project is being financed by the Department of Housing and Urban Development and includes the Section 8 rent subsidy program, under which tenants will pay 30 percent of their gross adjusted income for rent, with the federal government paying for the remainder.
